Identification - Seeds

The seed pods look like tear-drops or Indian clubs

Each pod contains maybe half-a-dozen seeds. It explodes while still green and propels the seeds up to seven metres away. The seeds last around three years in the soil. If a seed falls into the river, it may be carried downstream and deposited on a low-lying river bank where it will start a new colony.
